Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups fresh basil
2/3 cup good olive oil
1 tsp table salt
1 tsp ground black pepper
juice from 1/2 lemon, plus zest
1 large clove garlic
1 clove shallot
1 1/2 tbsp white vinegar
- Chop garlic and shallots so it blends easier.
- Place all ingredients in blender, adding oil slowly until all blended.
- Adjust seasonings to taste before serving.
Store in the fridge up to 1 week! :) Enjoy this simple, delicious accompaniment.
